White, blue, or green material near a low-voltage battery terminal can accompany electrolyte vapor, moisture, dissimilar metals, leakage, overcharging, loose connections, or age. Record condition, cleaning, terminal torque, electrical test results, and date. Carefully preserve all relevant warning codes and readings or electronic reset requirements created by disconnection.
